It may surprise you to know that there is an International paper size standard (ISO 216) which is adopted by everywhere except North America and parts of Latin America. The standard relates to the series of paper sizes we refer to as \u2018A\u2019<\/strong> (so A4 paper for example), \u2018B\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018C\u2019<\/strong>. \u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You may have also come across additional standards such as ISO 217 and ISO 269 but generally these refer to envelope sizes and trimmed paper.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

BusyBeeTip<\/strong>: Each ISO paper size is one half of the area of the next largest size in the same series. For example A5 is half the size of A4.<\/p>\n
